Are You Kidding Me?

And all with 'J' names too. Seriously?

(Via ForTheByrds.)

I'm not sure I can say much more. Just that woman has to be tired.

Ah, but if you want the definitive snarky take on it, see what Julie had to say a while back:

Yes, I remember Julie's take on the brood very well...

And by the way, the fact that I'm commenting on this, your most recent entry... means that I've now read your ENTIRE blog from entry number one to this one...

The comment I want to make today is out of context to this entry, but it's top of mind so I hope you don't mind.

Reading your blog has given me an entirely different take on IVF... I think it comes in part from the incredible sweetness of spirit that comes through in your writing, and the incredible relationship you so clearly have with Partner... but when I think of you carrying a baby that comes from the egg of P... that just seems SO incredibly intimate and connecting... and as close to a hetero experience of pregnancy as you can get (Not that I'm claiming that hetero pregnancies are in any way superior... that's NOT what I mean... at ALL. I just mean it in the sense of the mingling of two loving people creating a being TOGETHER.) For me... a big part of wanting a baby is to create something that is part of both of us... and the notion of carrying a part of my partner's being within me... that's really quite amazing to me. And with both of you... the fact that you are creating a child together... both physically and emotionally... is so amazing. I actually see it as a gift! Not that I'm in any way demeaning Partner's pain at not being able to carre the baby herself... I COMPLETELY understand that...

I just think it's the most beautiful thing in the world that you are BOTH going to play active biological roles in the creation of your family. It's never made IVF seem like more of a wonderful thing... and also makes me feel much more positive about embarking down this road myself.

Did this make any sense at all??

Oh dear Lord I thought she was still on number 15. And "Jinger"? That makes me want to vomit a little.

How to cause global overpopulation ALL BY YOURSELF! I'm sorry, I just think they're being selfish and greedy. But what do I know.

I hate to admit this, but the Duggars live about 20 miinutes from me...and they DO seem kind of freaky. Maybe if Jim Bob (his real name) wasn't always running for public office and trying to take an interest in everyone else's bedroom (or clinic, in my case) affairs, I wouldn't have such a problem with them. He ran last year on the premise of getting into office (again) but mainly wanted to promote his agenda and bill of "Marriage = 1 man + 1 woman." Which passed by the way.

Oh, and I think I understand what Manuela is trying to say. One of the reasons we decided to give it a go with our friend and GC, was because of how beautiful and blended her non-traditional family was. Plus she made the donor route look so effortless. She and her partner each got pregnant using the same DS. Sorry if I already said that somewhere. Anyway, we thought that was pretty cool.

Oh, and in answer to your comment...I'm TOO OLD to have gone to high school with you, you spring chicken! Although it was a Catholic one in the midwest...

I think the scariest part about the 16th baby is the obvious care and attention she lavished on her apalling hairstyle in the 2nd photo. What the hell does one call that style? Scary ....... very scary.
